Mateusz Janeta received his PhD degree (summa cum laude) in Professor Szafert research group with a dissertation entitled, "Functionalized polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes: synthesis, characterization and applications". After that, he initiated his research career as the assistant professor at University of Wrocław. His recent awards and distinctions include START scholarship for the best young researchers in Poland (Foundation for Polish Science, 2019) and Polish Minister’s of Education and Science scholarships for outstanding young scientists (2021-2024). He is a co-author of several scientific papers, US and PL patents. His main research concerns synthesis, structure and reactivity of functionalized polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes and porous organic-inorganic hybrid materials as well as catalysis. He was a post doctoral fellow at University of Houston in prof Maurice Brookhart and prof Olafs Daugulis research group (2019-2021).
